Trinity Beach Surf & Sail Kayak Tour incorporates both surfing and then the use of a sail. This tour is super fun, exciting and one to remember! The popular sandbar throws out a surfable wave to which our kayaks perform very well on, the wave here is generally light, fun and easy, offering long rides. Once we are ready to head back, we simply pop up our kayak sails and blow home in quick time.

No experience is required for this kayak tour however, a sense of adventure is highly recommended.

Take confidence from Pedro’s professional, relaxed and personalised guiding style. We understand it’s your holiday and delivering a safe fun & adventurous experience is our number one priority.
Our ethos of small group numbers and personalised tours greatly supports this, we strongly believe is a major contributor to the high levels of customer service we provide and the ultimate success of our tours.

Trinity Beach Launching Point

Your experienced and qualified guide Pedro (Pete) will set you at ease. A local to Trinity Beach, with over 20 years of sea kayaking adventures, countless day trips and multi-day expeditions spanning large sections of the pristine North Queensland Coastline and Island groups within. Sharing a passion for Sea Kayaking and providing a glimpse into this world is our pleasure.

Equipment has been selected to make your kayaking experience the best we can possibly offer. From quality & reliable stinger/sun protection, wet shoes, comfortable and well fitted PFD’s (life jackets). Drybags are provided to secure any personals. Let’s talk kayaks, our 4.2m single sit on top kayaks are well suited to local conditions. They are a stable and predictable craft that perform beautifully with a steering rudder, thigh straps and fitted backrest, all together achieve a high level of paddler comfort and boat control. We also throw in a handy paddle and paddle leash.

Trinity Beach Surf & Sail Kayak Tour Itinerary:
Meet & Greet 8:30am, finalise paperwork, change into paddling suits. Pedro likes to wear his shorts over the top for pure aesthetics alone! Fit and adjust PFD (life jackets), get familiar with your craft, we then together go through features and adjust to fit. At the beach we cover a couple of simple paddle strokes and basic techniques before hitting the water with confidence. Spending a few minutes within the protection of the bay to get comfortable before heading towards our surf spot. The wave here is generally light, fun and easy offering long rides in excess of 100m, with choice left or right soft breaking waves over a sandbar. From there we simply pop up our kayak sails and blow home in quick time, landing back at Trinity Beach around 10am.

What to Bring:
Hat, sunglasses, personal water, swimming shorts (wear over the top of stinger suit provided), towel and a change of dry clothes.
Pedro’s provide stingers suits (sun protection) and wet shoes plus a drybag to secure any personals.
