The one main accessible fishing site in Cairns City is the seaward wall at end of Marlin Marina jetty.
Cairns City Pier is just a short walk east past the Esplanade Lagoon and helipad. Providing great opportunity to catch a variety of fish species. The area is spacious, well signed and permitted only on the seaward side of the most Eastern pier. The secured area is open from 7 am to 9 pm regulated by the Cairns Port Authority.
